Mesa Rodriguez

 

Mesa Rodriguez's skin is so thick that it's bulletproof. Sadly, his head is just as thick. Built like an ox but as gentle as a puppy, Mesa doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the Hell's Gulch Gang. But, since they treat him like a friend, he'll hang around.

 

I got the idea of Mesa Rodriguez from observing a man at a conference I was at. The guy was tall, barrel-chested, and had a huge neck. But, his head was really small. It was strange. So, I quickly got to sketching and Mesa was born. I like the beginnings of this character and I'm sensing a short story featuring this strong simpleton.
