This is one of my wife's favorite comics, and after much goading, I finally sat down and opened it up. The art is gorgeous throughout the book. Renae De Liz draws the pencils and handles it with confidence. The faces are expressive, the scary scenes are frightening, and the characters are highly detailed and unique.

Specifically, this page shows De Liz drawing a scene of tension, worry, and fear. The Last Unicorn, being chased by the Red Bull, is coming at the viewer, and also looking behind her at her pursuer. De Liz's choice in drawing the Red Bull with features that are difficult to decipher throws the viewer into the panel and experiences the chaotic emotions of the Last Unicorn.
