Panels from Pages: The Star Wars #2

The Star Wars is Dark Horse's comic interpretation of the rough draft scripts for the Star Wars that we all know. If you are a Star Wars fan, it is a tough book to follow because the names are just different enough to make it confusing. The colors in this book are unique as they look similar to portrait paintings in their smoothness, however, it's not quite what I want in a comic book. Mike Mayhew's art is well executed, but it's just not for me.

I did pick this panel however because it is different from the rest of the book in the colors and the inks. Also, I enjoyed the background characters' stances. It's a good reminder to keep the background interesting enough to keep the audience but not too distracting.
