I worked on a double splash page of pg. 18 and 19 this whole week. Since it's double the work, I expect to finish by next week's entry. The scene is the group of inventors who are trying to get to Nikola Tesla, and just now the Wright Brothers are entering the scene. Drawing at the table is Edwin Binney, inventor of the crayon. Henry Ford is standing at the table. In the corner is Thomas Edison, which I wanted to avoid his inclusion to this group because it is too cliche for an Edison vs. Tesla story. However, I couldn't deny him from this group of inventors. To compromise, this Edison is not quite with it.
I began shading the page according the top image for a few days. When I pulled it back, I realized that Edison wasn't right in scale. I changed that and his orientation to what is current.
I'll probably get this finished in about a week. You can find the missing images over at my Tumblr page.
